Looking for a Project Assistant for Humpty Dumpty

19 April 2013

Second Hand Dance & Claire Reed are seeking a project assistant to work with them on their upcoming tour of ‘Humpty Dumpty: A Wibbly Wobbly World of Words’

About Humpty Dumpty: A Wibbly Wobbly World of Words:

Humpty Dumpty is an immersive dance, visual arts and music performance that engages children aged 4-7 and their families, taking them on an exciting journey through a magical landscape of words and movement. Inspired by the world of Lewis Carroll and his Humpty Dumpty character from ‘Alice through the Looking Glass’ this interactive, promenade experience encourages active literacy and learning through movement and dance. Part dance performance, part workshop, audiences join the search for Humpty Dumpty guided by two dancers, following the paper soldier clues, exploring a magical set, watching and making up their own dances as they go. Humpty Dumpty is a modular performance that can be adapted to fit a range of venues and events including libraries, cultural venues, children’s festivals or outdoor events. The performance integrates itself into each venue space by travelling through and around bookshelves, trees, shops or corridors.
